Trijicon ACOGĀ® 4x32 Illuminated Horseshoe Dot 5.56/223 BDC Reticle Riflescope

Presenting the Trijicon ACOG 4×32 Scope – a perfect blend of precision, durability, and versatility. This advanced combat optical gunsight (ACOG) is tailor-made for those who demand uncompromising performance from their shooting gear.

This 4×32 scope is built with high-grade aircraft aluminum alloy housing, providing bulletproof durability that can withstand the harshest of environments. Whether you’re in the heart of the wilderness or on a challenging hunt, this rugged scope is designed to last.

At the heart of the ACOG 4×32 is its superior optical clarity. The multi-coated lenses provide a bright, crisp, and high-contrast view, even in low-light conditions. With a magnification power of 4x and an objective lens diameter of 32mm, it delivers a generous field of view, allowing you to spot and track your targets with ease.

One of the standout features is its illuminated reticle. Powered by Tritium/Fiber Optic illumination, the reticle remains highly-visible in any lighting condition, without the need for batteries. This means you’ll always have a clear sight picture, from dawn till dusk.

The ACOG 4×32 scope also boasts a Bullet Drop Compensator (BDC) reticle, allowing you to make quick and precise holdover adjustments for different ranges. This feature is invaluable for long-distance shooting, ensuring your shots are accurate and lethal.

The windage and elevation adjustments are easy to use, offering you the ability to fine-tune your aim for maximum accuracy. Plus, with its fixed-power design, there’s no need to fiddle with changing magnifications – simply point, aim, and shoot!

Mounting the ACOG 4×32 scope is a breeze, thanks to its compatible design with standard Picatinny or Weaver-style rails.

Proudly made in the USA, the Trijicon ACOG 4×32 Scope brings together advanced technology, robust construction, and user-friendly design. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or a novice marksman, this scope is a reliable companion that will enhance your shooting experience.

Please note: Always adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding the use and possession of optical sighting devices.

And the best part? It’s made right here in the USA.

And there you have it folks, the Trijicon VCOG 1-8×28 Scope – the only scope you’ll ever need.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does ACOG stand for?

ACOG stands for “Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight.” It’s a type of optic made by Trijicon and designed for precision, durability, and ease of use in various shooting conditions.

The ACOG is made with a forged aluminum housing, making it nearly indestructible.

The ACOG comes with several different reticle patterns, colors, and calibrations for different calibers. This particular model comes with an illuminated horseshoe dot calibrated for 5.56 / 223 calibers and is available in green or red colors.Ā

Most ACOG models are battery-free (including the one you’re currently looking at). Instead of batteries, they feature a tritium/fiber optic illuminated reticle that automatically adjusts the brightness based on available light. However, some models do have user-adjustable brightness settings powered by a single AA battery.

12,000 hrs on setting #4 for battery-operated models. This particular model uses tritium and fiber optics for illumination and doesn’t use batteries at all.Ā

The ACOG 4×32 is extremely durable. It features a rugged, reliable housing design with minimal moving parts for added durability. It has also proven to withstand recoil from a .22LR to a .50BMG and easily passes U.S. Military drop test requirements.

Absolutely. The ACOG 4×32 scope offers exceptional waterproof performance that exceeds military standards. It’s filled with dry nitrogen to eliminate fogging, allowing it to perform well in extreme cold and heat.

The ACOG is proudly made in the USA.

The “Both Eyes Open” design, also known as the Bindon Aiming Concept (BAC), allows shooters to keep both eyes open for improved situational awareness while aiming.

The ACOG 4×32 scope features high-quality glass and multi-coated lenses that maximize light-gathering capabilities and provide a clear field of view with zero distortion.

This feature in most ACOG models allows for decisive aiming at varying distances. The reticle compensates for bullet drop over specific distances, providing accurate holdover points for shooters.

Basically, the horizontal lines in the reticle represent aiming points at various ranges. The ACOG was originally calibrated using 55gr 5.56 NATO ammo shot out of a 16″ barrel. (The standard military-issued M16 configuration).Ā

The real issue is not the bullet weight or barrel length, but muzzle velocity, ballistic coefficient, and the distance of optic height over bore. The difference in trajectory from bullet to bullet or barrel to barrel is usually less than the MOA thickness of the stadia lines.Ā

It’s important to test and shoot at each specific range depicted in the reticle to gather DOPE (data on previous engagements) for your specific rifle and ammo configuration. The stadia lines will get you close, but they are not 100% reliable in all configurations.Ā

Yes, the ACOG is the most used magnified optic in combat, underscoring its reliability and high performance.

Yes. The reticle pattern in the ACOG is created by removing reflective metal from a prism mirror situated at approximately a 45-degree angle within the gun sight. Due to this arrangement, the left side of the reticle is nearer to the eye than the center, and the right side is further away. As a consequence, the right side of the reticle appears focused beyond infinity, leading to potential distortion. This distortion varies between individuals based on their eyesight. There’s no impact on the left side because our eyes are adept at focusing on closer objects. Despite this, the scope’s performance remains unaffected, as only the right horizontal reticle line may appear blurry while the target area’s image remains clear. This design is necessary to achieve a parallax-free vertical center in the scope, facilitating the built-in ranging feature in the reticle pattern.

The MILSPEC testing standard used for the SOPMOD, in which the TA01NSN, was tested is (MIL-STD-810E). For leakage testing ā€œall optics and other electrical devices were subjected to waterproof testing to 70 feet to determine device capabilitiesā€. Seventy feet is approximately 2 atmospheres.

The “Both Eyes Open” design, also known as the Bindon Aiming Concept (BAC), allows shooters to keep both eyes open for improved situational awareness while aiming.
